The Prairie in Bloom

Free Guided Exploration

Saturday, August 8th

9:00am -10:30am

Experience one of the best displays of wild prairie flowers Cincinnati Parks has to offer!

Early August is peak bloom time for local prairies, and this is the best display of wild prairie flowers in Cincinnati Parks.  Enjoy the spectacle of blooms, bees, and butterflies and discover the marvelous ways that different flowers and pollinators meet each other’s specific needs.  We’ll also look at why this prairie is here and what makes Ohio’s rare prairies so special.  This event is recommended adults and their family members ages 9-and-up

There’s not much shade at the prairie, so dress accordingly and bring water.

This guided experience is free, but space is limited, online registration is required.
