They say, “April showers bring MAY flowers,” but did you know that April is the best time to see woodland wildflowers? Historically, April is the peak of the spring ephemeral wildflower display here in California Woods. Learn the difference between Dutchman’s Breeches and Squirrel Corn; and find out more about the amazing adaptations that spring ephemerals have come up with to make the most of the whacky spring weather! Wear sturdy, closed-toed shoes and dress for the weather. This program is entirely outdoors. We will have a hilly and more mobility-friendly option at registration. This program is FREE, but space is limited so pre-registration is required before Wednesday, April 3.
